Sebagai seorang kipas-susah-mati Linkin Park (LP), aku mengumumkan akan kelahiran bayi baru dari LP diberi tajuk ‘New Divide’. Hasil kerja tangan Mike Shinoda (my fav) dan Chester Bennington ini tetap tidak menghampakan selaku komposer dan penulis lirik lagu ini.

Seperti mana lirik2 lagu LP sebelum ini, New Divide mempunyai kekuatan lirik yang sangat mengagumkan dan mendalam maksudnya sehingga memberi kesan tersendiri terutama ke atas apa yang berlaku dalam kehidupan aku sejak kebelakangan ini.

New Divide bagi aku membawa maksud perpecahan, pengasingan atau perpisahan yang tak pernah terjadi dalam alam ini. Kerana itu ia dipanggil sesuatu yang baru. Perpisahan yang tak pernah terjadi, tiba2 terjadi, bagaikan satu perkara yang baru (mungkin memedihkan).

Jadi macam mana boleh ada lagu dari LP sedangkan LP tak keluarkan album baru?

Yang pasti, tujuan lagu ini kerana LP sekali lagi telah diberi kepercayaan untuk menjadi duta soundtrack lagu promosi Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (sebelum ini lagu What I’ve Done). New Divide bukan setakat jadi sound track, tapi turut jadi lead single untuk filem Transformers!

Jadi, apa kata aku berkongsi dengan kamu hasil tulisan Mike dan Chester ini kepada kamu supaya kamu dapat menyelami hati dan sanubari setiap insan di dunia ini.
